Hi, I’m Michael Quinn.

I’m a writer born in Philadelphia.

Previously, I was the playwright of GET IT TOGETHER, a one-act comedy directed by Scott T. Cummings, which the Boston College Heights called “incredibly funny and intensely relatable.” I also gave an interview about it.

I won the Dever Fellowship and McCarthy Award, First Place, from Boston College in 2019.

I also worked as a designer on JOYCESTICK, a virtual reality adaptation of James Joyce’s modernist epic Ulysses. We presented the game at international literary conferences in Rome, Dublin, Toronto, Singapore and at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History. We were in the Boston Globe and the Associated Press.

I’ve published poems in Rust + Moth, the Chiron Review and more. See how I talk about poetry in my Carve interview. My play FISHTOWN was produced at the Portland Actors Conservatory in May, 2021, and the American Lives Theatre Festival in October, 2021, in Indianapolis.

My digital production of GET IT TOGETHER won the Audience Choice Award at the Denver Fringe Festival 2021 and was an Official Selection of the NYC Indie Theatre Film Festival 2022.

My new work THE RIVER EAST is a semifinalist at the Epiphany New Works Festival in Waco, Texas.

Last summer, I directed a full-length version of GET IT TOGETHER at the Zephyr Theatre in Los Angeles.

I live in Pennsylvania.
